The Solomon Tower is a symbol of Visegrad. Its name is misleading, as this part of the castle was built 2 centuries later than King Solomon’s imprisonment. The A Tower, like the Citadel, is a magnificent sight, hosting several weddings every year and the adjacent gymnastic field is regularly used for jousting demonstrations by the military traditionalists of the Order of St George, or for drum parades. Solomon’s Tower is currently home to two permanent exhibitions. One is about the 14th century ornamental fountain of the Visegrád Royal Palace, and the other is about the history of Visegrád from prehistoric times to the 20th century.
